Basel tickt bunt! 🌈

AWARENESS

to be aware = be informed, be sensitized to certain issues.

Basel tickt bunt! is a queer festival day, which will take place on Saturday, July 1, 2023. The program consists of drag brunch, queer talk, pride walk, concerts, party and drag performances. This day and program is aimed at LGBTQIA* communities and their friends and allies.

At our program points, we want everyone to feel safe and respected.

  • We ask everyone to look out for each other and respect other people’s personal boundaries
  • Only yes means yes.
  • No means always no.
  • Always act according to the consensus principle.
  • Physical appearance says nothing about a person’s gender identity. Therefore, ask about the pronouns.
  •  Taking intoxicants is no excuse for misconduct.

We do not tolerate…

  • no discrimination based on sexual orientation
  • no discrimination based on gender
  • no ableism (hostilities against people with disabilities)
  • no racism (neither of origin nor of external characteristics)
  • no psychological, physical or sexual assault
  • no discrimination based on religious affiliation
  • no antisemitism
  • no anti-muslim sentiment
  • no violence in any form

Should you or another person experience discriminatory or inappropriate behavior, please contact our Awareness Team, the Basel tickt bunt! staff or the staff of the venue. You can also call or text our Awareness Hotline: 078 330 58 51

The Awareness Team will be there for you at the Pride Walk and at the evening program. Feel free to talk to them if you feel uncomfortable or if you need a person to accompany you to a quieter place. You will recognize them by the pink vests with «A» or «Awareness» on the back.

We want to keep learning and developing our awareness concept. If you have any input or suggestions for improvement, please send us an e-mail to info@baselticktbunt.ch.

We wish all visitors and participants a lot of fun on Basel tickt bunt! festival day!
